Payer Information

Navigate to: A/R Mgmt -> Account Inquiry

Account Inquiry

The Account Inquiry page shows all transactions that have occurred after in invoice has been billed.

Account Inquiry Filter

The Filter allows for limiting the results as needed. Filter options include Date, either Service Date or Transaction Date, Patient, Cash Receipt, Invoice Number, Patient Name, Call #, Invoice Status (Open, Paid, All), Provider, Type of Posting (Invoice, Payment, Adjustment, Cancelation, Applied Prepayment, Penalty, Interest, Settlement, CAR, Refund, Balance Forward, Rejection), Payer, Payment Claim Adjustment Reason Code, ERA Remit Advice Remark Code, Bill Record Tag and/or Invoice Tag.

Account Inquiry Results

tems that match the filter criteria are displayed below. The Display includes, Patient^Last Stmt*, Service Date, Payer, Type, Inv Number, Inv Status (Billed, Paid, Canceled), Trans Date, Amount, Balance, BF Amt, Last Rebilled, Adj Code and Comment.

*Patient^Last Statement: Hovering over the Patient Name will show the last date a statement was sent to the Patient.

Action Item List

The Action Item List is available for all Records. Some Options may be greyed out depending on the type. Click to use the Action Item list.

Create Adjustment: Enabled on Invoice Types. Opens the Add Adjustment Page.

   

Delete: Enabled on Adjustment Types. Deletes the Adjustment

   

Balance Forward: Enabled on Invoice Types. Opens the Balance Forward Page and allows for any remaining balance to be forwarded to a subsequent payer for that patient.

   

Cancel Invoice: Enabled on Invoice Types. Cancels the invoice. Adds cancellation entries and marks the bill record as "To Bill" in Payer Verification.

   

Print 1500s: Enabled on Invoice Types. Available for 1500 Invoice Types. This will print a black and white 1500 form.

   

Print Data-Only 1500s: Enabled on Invoice Types. Available for 1500 Invoice Types. This will print the data from the 1500 and allow for printing on a Red Back 1500 form.

   

Print Invoices: Enabled on Invoice Types. Available for Non-1500 Invoice Types. This will print the invoices.

   

Print EOB: Enabled on ERA Payments. Prints to PDF an EOB that can be reviewed/printed and/or sent to payers/patients.

   

Print Statement: Enabled on All Types. Prints a statement for the patient to the payer on the invoice.

   

View Statement History: Enabled on All Types. Shows all statement history for the invoice.

   

Reset Dunning Statement Count: Enabled on All Types. Removes invoice from all statement batches and allows for a new statement to be generated with the appropriate Dunning Language.

   

Request For Information: Enabled on Invoice Types. Opens the Request for Information report to be sent to the patient to obtain more information regarding insurances.

   

Mark as Rejected Invoice: Enabled on Invoice Types. Rejects the invoice. Adds rejection entries and marks the bill record as "To Bill" in Payer Verification.

   

Mark as Returned Mail (Incorrect Address): Enabled on All Types. Selecting this will check the Flagged as Incorrect Address (Returned) in patient information. If checked, Statements, Requests for Information will not be sent out for this patient. This box can be checked to indicate that a piece of mail was returned to the provider from the mail service. Checking this allows for the address to be reviewed, while ensuring no further communication is sent to a known invalid address.

   

Print Call Statement: Enabled on All Types. Prints a statement for only the call on the invoice. Multiple statements will be generated based on invoices created and\or payers added to the bill record when in Payer Verification.

   

View Rejection Codes: Enabled on Payment Types. Shows the rejection codes, as available.

   

Rebill Invoice: Enabled on Invoice Types. Will send invoice back to Batch Processing to be sent again.

   

Apply Prepayment: Enabled on Invoice Types. Allows for applying a prepayment to the invoice.

   

Readjust Max Allowed Amount: Enabled on Invoice Types. ?????

   

Move Payment: Enabled on Payment Types. Allows for moving the payment to the correct invoice. For Example, there is a Medicare Primary Invoice and a Blue Cross Secondary Invoice. If Blue Cross processes their payment as Primary, it could be assigned to the Medicare Invoice. This allows for moving the payment to the correct Blue Cross Secondary.

   

Refund Payment: Enabled on Payment Types. Allows for refunding the payment to the payer\patient. Used in cases of an over payment.

View Audit Information: Enabled on All Types. Shows the Bill Record and Invoice Audit Trails.

View Claim Payment Information: Enabled on Payment Types. Shows payment information for ERA Payments. Looks similar to an EOB.

View Patient Information: Enabled on All Types. Opens Patient Information page

View Invoice: Enabled on Invoice Types. Opens the invoice. Click Here for information on Claims Edit

View Bill Record: Enabled on All Types. Opens the Bill Record page. Click Here for more information on Bill Records.

Invoice Details

Click [+] in invoice Type to see details of Service Lines included on the invoice. Display will include Service Date, Place of Service, EMG indicator (Y/N), HCPCs, Modifiers, Rate, Units, Total Charge, Net Amount and Balance.

Payment Details

Click [+] on payment Type to see details of the posted payments. Details include Receipt Number, Item Number, HCPCs, Amount, Max Allowed, Adj Code (if entered in Cash Receipts) and Comment.
